Thus keloids are scars which have overgrown and often continue to overgrow the original wound size. Keloids are a problem, specific to coloured skin. Typically the darker your skin tone is, the greater are the chances of your scars turning into a keloid. Any wound, be it injury, burns or post-surgery scars can become hypertrophic or keloids.
