If you’ve got bumpy yellow patches on the inside corners of your eyelids or around your eyes, you might have a condition known as Xanthelasma Palpebrarum. Xanthelasma is the condition that causes yellow patches to appear on the inside corner of your eyelids. The condition is uncommon and it is often referred to as cholesterol deposit and has been linked to high cholesterol levels in the blood. However, this has not been our experience at AESTHETIQUE. There has been no correlation between their presence and the blood cholesterol level. Our history with Xanthelasma says that their presence is not harmful and they just draw unwanted attention to your eyelids.
Anaesthesia: Performed under local anaesthesia.
Duration of Procedure: The procedure takes 30 to 40 minutes per lesion.
It is usually an outpatient procedure, that is, the patient can go home the same day.
