Gynaecomastia Surgery
Gynecomastia Surgery is the medical term for the development of abnormally large breasts in males. The problem is usually caused by a combination of excess breast glandular and fatty tissue. It may affect only one breast or both and most of the time, there is no known cause. Male breast reduction is one of the few plastic surgery procedures that’s exclusively for men.

Candidacy
- Despite having a good physique and doing regular exercises, the chest area shows breast like fullness.
- Commonly treated age groups:
- 16 to 25 years
- 38 to 45 years
- Chest is disproportionately larger than is desirable and/or is embarrassing.

Procedure
- Anaesthesia: We use general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia plus sedation.
- Duration of the procedure: It takes around 1 to 2 hours
Treatment options
- Liposuction: This is the most common technique. Minimal pain/discomfort where the client can go home on the same day with no marks.
- Surgical excision of the fat stitches: Self-dissolving stitches
- Scar: Fine semi-circular one around the nipple which is barely visible & fades with time In combination, often the centre areas need surgical excision and the sides need liposuction
Inpatient/Outpatient Procedure
It is an outpatient procedure, that is, the patient can go home the same day.
- Back to work in 3-7 days
- Can perform strenuous activities in 2-3 weeks
- Swelling and bruising for 3-6 months
