Liposuction(Suction Lipactomy, Liposculpture, Lipoplasty, Body contouring, SAL (Suction Assisted Lipactomy ), Lipo)
Liposuction is the most popular and major procedure performed at AESTHETIQUE. Also known as lipoplasty or simply lipo (suction-assisted fat removal/liposculpture), it is a cosmetic surgery procedure that can remove unwanted fat from different parts of our body. However, it is important to understand that this is not a weight reduction procedure, but a body shaping procedure. The most common areas we treat include hips, flanks, abdomen and thighs.
Candidacy
Best results were seen in the clients who previously tried many diets and exercise regimes and found that certain areas of fat on the body do not go away.
- Over 18 years of age
- Have a good overall health
Non-smokers - Moderate to good skin tone
- Have localized excess fatty tissue in the various areas
Benefits of Liposuction
- It corrects the drop by repositioning your breast to a more youthful position
- Increases the fullness and projection of your breasts
- Reduce the nipple-areola size
- Improves your body’s figure proportions
- Enhances your self-image and self-confidence
Techniques
The extra fat from the body is removed using a fine cannula inserted through very small strategically placed openings. The other end of the cannula is attached to a suction device. These tried, tested and new techniques of suction-assisted liposuction (SAL) performed and available at our centre are listed below.

Inpatient/Outpatient Procedure

Some may require a short inpatient stay if multiple areas are treated at one time or combined with other procedures which need a longer inpatient stay.
- Following the procedure, pressure garments are recommended to be worn on the operated areas. The elastic compression garments squeeze the body fluids back towards the deeper tissues, reducing swelling in the affected areas. This helps the recovery to be quicker, safer and more comfortable.
- The client can get back to work in 1-2 weeks
- Strenuous activity can be performed after 2–4 weeks
- Full Recovery can take upto 1–6 months
- Body massage is recommended
